Founded in 2018 by Helida Faria Lima, Mafar Language School is an institution dedicated to a discerning audience, offering language courses and e-books that combine the depth of tradition with modern teaching methodologies.

The name Mafar is a combination of the surnames Faria Lima, reflecting a personal union and the foundation of the school. Thus, Mafar not only aims to be a reference in high-quality linguistic education but also to be a vehicle for moral and cultural improvement.

Adopting an educational approach that transcends utilitarianism, Mafar seeks to open a window to the world, offering not only the learning of new languages but also an immersion in the cultural and moral richness that each language carries.

The pelican, inspired by the "Pie Pelicane," is a historical symbol associated with sacrifice and instruction, resonating with the school's commitment to altruistic education and the sharing of knowledge. The pelican often represents renewal and nobility of purpose in Christian iconography, which can be interpreted as the school's noble goal of providing truth to its students.

The fountain pen nib, formed by the pelican's tail, is a classic nod to writing and literature, the foundations of language learning.

In the center, there is the cross within the shield, which maintains its association with cultural intersection and the union of different languages, reflecting the school's mission to connect people through linguistic education. This cross is also present on the flag of England.

The crest is traditionally a symbol of heritage and prestige. At the top of the crest, we see a crown, which references the leadership and excellence of education that crown the high-quality educational guidance offered by MAFAR.

Yes, they can be individual, duo, trio, quartet and quintet.
Are the classes online?

Yes, via video call.
Is the material included in the monthly fee or do I need to pay for it separately?

The authorial material from Mafar Language School is a courtesy for the institution's students .
What is the teaching methodology?

Just as Mafar Language School's teaching materials are its own authorship, so is the teaching methodology. We follow the methodology of Helida Faria Lima, founder of the school, which is based on the classical teaching model, inspired by the learning methods of ancient Greece and Rome. This approach values the Trivium, made up of grammar, logic and rhetoric, as the core of the curriculum. Furthermore, Helida Faria Lima's methodology includes authorial elements, developed from years of teaching experience, such as stimuli for conversation, critical and analytical sense.
How long does each module last?

On average, 3 to 6 months.

We accept Pix, Credit and Debit Cards.
Qual o horário de funcionamento?

Das 08h às 22h de segunda a sexta, das 08h às 12h aos sábados. Não trabalhamos aos domingos, pois é dia do Senhor.
Quais idiomas são lecionados pela instituição?

Inglês, português, espanhol, russo, italiano, francês e alemão. Sendo todos estes ministrados de forma pareada com o CEFR - Quadro Europeu Comum de Referência para as Línguas. Observações: os cursos de Grego e Latim têm suas matrículas abertas exclusivamente uma vez por ano.
